Please Pray For Our Christians In Action Team

CIA MISSION STATEMENT:

The Christians in Action committee is called to love our neighbor and hear the cry of the needy.

To that end, we will:

  • Unite our church to serve

  • Provide resources for support for new forms of ministry

  • Organize specific actions in the community of Senoia and beyond that embody the teachings of Jesus Christ

  • Motivate others to participate in Christian work

What they do:

Everyone in the church is encouraged to participate!

Throughout the year Senoia UMC is involved in many outreach and mission opportunities.
2019 Christians in Action activities include:
  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Memorial Day Parade
  • Lattice Tree School Supply Collection
  • Beginning of the School Year Breakfast for Teachers
  • Cruisin' to the Oldies Car Show
  • First Responders Appreciation Luncheon
  • Fall Festival/Trunk or Treat
  • Stay tuned for other activities!
Christians In Action seek to provide opportunities for our church to not only be hospitable in how we reach out and welcome new people to the church, but also how we go out into the community to serve others to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

They work hard to identify and support opportunities for our church to be involved in ministries in our conference, our country and around the world in the name of Christ. Some projects might include mission trips, collecting groceries, school supplies and other needed items for the I-58 Mission here in Senoia,   working with and at UMCOR in Alabama and others,  and Backpack Buddies. We also support La Senda, a school and orphanage located in Guatemala.
